What does it mean to be a memory keeper?
Today, I want to explore this idea with you. For many, it can mean SO many different things. However, I truly believe we are all memory keepers in our own way; even for those individuals who may not specifically see themselves as “documenters and/or scrapbookers”. If you take photos, love taking photos and capturing your life’s details….yes, in my eyes…you are a Memory Keeper. And it’s awesome.
As a mom to a very busy 2 year old, I run into many other mom’s who often ask me about my memory keeping. They see the posts on my Instagram and Facebook pages. The links to all the different projects, posts and inspiration. I often get the sense that for many of them, as a busy mom themselves, they do not know how to keep up with their own memory keeping…or even how to get started.
So, I created a little video where I wanted to share a little piece of my heart…OK, ALOT of my heart with you all surrounding this topic today. It kind of hits close. My passion, really.
I have been thinking a lot about ‘memory keeping’ recently, especially when creating some of my latest projects using the brand new Heidi Swapp Memory Keeping collection that is now available at Michaels Stores.
These products truly bring “memory keeping” to the forefront. Simple, meaningful, DOABLE memory keeping. Back to the basics. Back to the foundation of what we all know. Photos and words. That is it. Yes, there are the extra cute bits to play with, decorate with and embellish with. This is paper crafting after all. We all LOVE pretty things!
However though, at the core of this launch is the desire to bring us all back, front and centre to what matters most.
Today I want to share a piece of my heart with you. A little inspiration, a little peek into my life…and some hopefully helpful tips and advice to becoming a successful memory keeper yourself. Especially if you are feeling overwhelmed by the thought of it all.
I hope for those of you needing a little encouragement, you will see I am one of the biggest cheerleaders in your corner. You can do this, I can do this…WE can do this. I promise you.
So here we go. My top 5 tried and true tips (especially for us busy moms) to getting those stories and photos told!
I can promise you you will be SO happy you did!
Remember…in the end, whatever you choose to do, whatever style…it’s all documenting and memory keeping. DO what works for YOU and you will always find success.
Thank you so much for letting me share this piece of my heart with you.
