my…favorite!

seems like so long ago now… but really – it was only like 7 months or so… i was lucky enough to visit New Zealand to teach some classes. i had one day free, and i got to do my favorite thing… wander. we went down to a little boutique street district and i loved looking through each of the little shops. it was there that the idea and inspiration behind this collection was born! i knew that in preparation for spring and summer, i wanted bright, fun colors… delightful florals, black and white graphic elements and trendy patterns. i could see it in my head… throw in some glitter frames, lots of fun playful stuff, and i was in love!

i’d like to introduce you to the “favorite things” collection:

it’s bold, and oh, so happy !! it’s been so much fun playing with it… kinda fun stuff – it’s always the best finally getting my hands on new product!

the black and white paper has to be at the top of my ‘favorites’…this was the first thing i made! it’s got this big fabulous die cut floral on the front, and a little pocket on the inside —>i love the mini card inside! (oh, that little triangle pattern on the inside is just right!)

the next paper i reached for was the heart shaped WORD paper… this was inspired by the cutest little pillow i saw (and wished i would have bought)

this paper is exactly perfect for this photo of these sweetest girls!

i couldn’t help myself but layer up the lovely flowers and words… and somehow, this “press pause” is exactly what i WISH i could do!

i added just a little bit of stenciling there on the right- the mini stencils are just impossible to resist!

this was the next 12×12 page i created… again, i found myself reaching for beach pics…

this page is a bit indulgent.. just for fun- this photo of my whole family is such a treasure! and i love that little pic of Capri looking out at the ocean.

(of course, the Ephemera pack will be a favorite for sure! paper and clear little pieces)

the next little treasure i created is one dedicated to my oldest son… and yea, he has turned 16. i almost can’t believe it! i don’t make many projects that feature my older boys anymore- seems like it’s harder to get them to indulge in the photos – not so many ‘mile stones’ or something? but i love this.

i used the black and white graphic paper as a background, and only exposed about 1/4″ around the whole page. i then used one of the designs from the new Dreamy collection as well. i always love being able to mix and match the collection elements – and this one was just right!

i will be talking about these color magic die cut tags more later.. but look how cute it is when i taped it off, and misted it with stripes!

oh, the possibilities!

the show is only a few days away! so much still to do!

(wish me luck!) and i will be back tomorrow with a full reveal of my ‘Dreamy’ Collection… you will LOVE it!
