welcome to memory file month!

Happy April! Happy Monday! And welcome to the official KICK OFF to ‘memory file month’ here on my blog. Now that Memory Files are finally readily available, and making appearances on real life and virtual store shelves… as well as making it into some of your hands… now, it’s time to FOCUS on how amazing and FUN these files are!

I have posted a couple of times sharing some different memory file projects…and maybe you have seen the official ‘memory file video’, which does a pretty good job explaining the Memory File concept…but by the end of this month, you will have a very comprehensive look, not just from me… but from the help of several more super talented ladies that are sharing their take on Memory File as well!

To start things off this month, Wednesday night I will be hosting a webshow on Ustream. You can follow the link and watch on Ustream LIVE on wed night (april 4th) 7pm MST. Or, you can also tune into my Ustream channel afterwards and watch the archive. I will be showing the components of “Memory File”, and I think that by seeing the files on video, it will be easier to get a feel for some different ways to create inside these folders.

Whether you like the idea of adding extra mini books, pockets, and other interactive elements to the folders, or you are interested in using them to craft cards and mini-books…I know you will love them!

The files come in 3 sets of 6 designs:

  1. No limits: which are perfect for travel, adventure, outdoor, sports and boy stuff
  2. Sugar Chic: which is pretty girlie…capturing the sweet side, and the sassy side! You’ll find the big beautiful flowers, as well as the fun animal prints.
  3. Color Magic: which is all white with patterns printed with a clear resist that are designed to have color mediums added to customize for any project.

Some people are calling it a ‘memory file system’, and that makes it sound like a master-planned scrapbooking program…but really, it’s just a fresh take on scrapbooking. it’s a way to combine a scrapbook page with a mini-book to allow incorporation of MORE photos, and a broader look at your memories!

The idea is that you can store these cute little folders in the beautiful Memory File Box (available in Black and Teal). I am hearing people buying these beauties for all kinds of purposes, and I will admit to now using them for storing kids art, storing my scrabook supplies, and organizing photos… really, I designed them to house the file folders. *most people claim they are even more gorgeous in real life!

I designed several products as specific ‘interactive’ components… things like: foto stack, openables, sentiment storage and instaframes…but you are allowed to use these in cards, traditional pages and even inside minis.
