2 Layouts 2 Ways to Use Hawthorne
Can you believe we are in the first official week of September? It really is crazy!
I have been trying to get caught up printing my favourite memories of summer…and although truth be told I will probably never be completely caught up, I was able to get a good stack of photos printed to scrap.
I am loving the Heidi Swapp Hawthorne collection. I love how the vibe is earthy, travel, pretty and rugged. It is truly the perfect combination for all of your summer photos…and I think I am going to love it even more for capturing my fall photos too. It fits every season and any occasion! You can find the Hawthorne collection 50% off your entire in store purchase with the exclusive Heidi Swapp coupon at your Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Store! Click here to get your coupon.
The entire Heidi Swapp Hawthorne collection is available right now at select Jo-Ann Stores and Jo-Ann online. In stores you can find it as part of the amazing Heidi Swapp Boutique Aisle. For my layouts I chose to use some of my most favourite pieces from the collection.
I created 2 layouts for this post. One about my daughter, the other a family memory from our summer vacation in July.
I loved using the Kraft Jumbo Alphabets to create this large title. I ran the alphabets through my Heidi Swapp Minc machine to add the champagne foil effect. You can see that I also added in some of the pattern paper from the Hawthorne paper pad as well. I did not have enough alphabets left to do the whole title in the kraft, so instead I simply traced what I needed out using Hawthorne paper. I love the mix!
Layering and clustering is always one of my favourite scrapbooking techniques. Here I had a fun time using pieces from the Hawthorne Ephemera pack along with the Hawthorne stamps. Sometimes you just have to go for it!
I really love how this page came together.
The nature nostalgic vibe.
Next up is the page I created for my daughter.
I love the romantic playfulness of this layout.
All of the papers I used can be found in the Hawthorne 12×12 paper pad.
Once I decided on my combination I kept things simple and light. With a touch of pretty.
I had fun again mixing the patterns and fonts to create my title. I used the word stickers, wood grain alphabets, foam sticker alphabets (that I transformed with champagne Minc foil), acetate words and ephemera to begin my journaling. Everything in this collection works together with such ease and coordination. I love that I can mix and match it all to achieve just the look and feel I am wanting!
I used my We R Memory Keepers Typecast to type out my journaling.
I love how using stamps and washi can complete any page! Think icons, date additions, borders, filler….endless creative possibilities for sure.
Remember all of these Heidi Swapp Hawthorne goodies are available right now at JoAnn stores and JoAnn online. It is the most amazing and beautiful collection to help tell all of your timeless stories and adventures.
See you again soon!
