20 weeks
I finally broke down and bought 2 pair of maternity pants!
Wow… that feels better!
i thought I could get away without buying maternity tops for a little while longer… thinking that maybe some of my longer shirts would cover… but there is nothing worse than being able to see a little sliver of that nice spandex pregnancy-panel in the top of the pants!! At the same time, I am not really warranting the big flowing tops! Chuckle… loving the in-between!
Emily hadn’t seen me for a week and was a little surprised by the growth in my belly! I did have a dr’s appointment today… we are ½ way there!! Is that possible? He did an ultra-sound and checked out all the organs and did some measurements. Appears we have a healthy little one in there!! My dr. asked me again if I was SURE I didn’t want to know what the sex of the baby was!! (it was KILLING ME), but I reassured him that we are NOT FINDING OUT!!!
Whatever it is… we are excited!
We didn’t find out with the first 2 pregnancies…(really, at eric’s insistance!) He loves being surprised and he thinks it’s ‘cheating’ to find out before hand…however, on my third pregnancy, I wanted a girl! And so I decided to find out! This time…I really have no preference! I’d be happy either way! Quincy of course is SURE it’s a little sister… colton thinks it’s a girl- he claims he can tell from the ultrasound images… girl for sure! Cory is holding on to the hope it’s a boy!
Sooo…here is a look at our little one. this is a page i made for my pregnancy journal today. (the scanner is not really big enough…so it cut a little off)

23 March, 2006 at 11:06 pmYou look so cute, Heidi! Kay, we are like on the exact same time schedule with our pregnancies…I’m 20 weeks and I just ha my ultracound yesterday…only I think my tummy is way bigger than yours! (This is my second…my daughter is only 15 months old, so my tummy is stretching out quite a bit faster this time!!) Check out my blog and you can see my ultra-sound pic…can’t wait to meet you in Chaicago next weekend! Congrats on being half-way done!!

24 March, 2006 at 4:32 amYou look great. And don’t fret…the more we have the faster we stretch out. I got so big with my fourth I was afraid to sit in the Lazy Boy for fear no one but maybe a crane engineer could get me out. I can’t believe you are half way there already…funny how fast other people pregnancies go!

24 March, 2006 at 7:04 amYou look so adorable – I know exactly what you mean by those pregnancy pants – those panels are so NOT to be desired.
I love your idea of your journal – I’m going to take a guess and say you are having a girl.
Michelle
24 March, 2006 at 7:27 amOh Heidi I love your journal – Show us more! I too am expecting…18 weeks now…not too far behind ya! I actually used the “All about me” book you designed for QVC and altered it to be my journal. I’m super pumped about meeting you and taking classes from you in April @ the Scrap etc. event…maybe I’ll get to show you my journal.

24 March, 2006 at 7:31 amone of my favorite tips for stretching your wardrobe during those inbetween months…buy some of those long tanks and layer them under tee’s…you can pull them over your panel and still look stylin!

24 March, 2006 at 8:47 amLOL at “Wow . . . that feels better!”
Love your pg journal. Did you keep one with your previous three? What a treasure for your kids. I used the ugly store-bought “What To Expect . . .” pg journal. Yours is MUCH sweeter! Congrats!

24 March, 2006 at 8:52 amLOvE the page, love the outfit, love the idea…
can i ask a question?
who takes the great photos of you, heidi?, do you set up a tripod, or does em or eric? or quincy…
one thing i notice in so many blogs is that scrapbookers get their own picture in the pages. i’m always behind the camera, therefore…sigh…invisible.
if you read these comments, could you answer this?

You are so adorable! I agree on the maternity pants. I just had my second child and it was so great getting out of those. Love the page too! You are so talented, but I am sure I am not the first to tell you that. Good luck on the next 20 weeks, hope to see you at the event in September.

24 March, 2006 at 10:48 amLove your layout Heidi!!!! I’ve only got 2 little blessings in my life, however, it’s true, that even after having one, you feel completely different — more experienced about the whole thing! Best wishes to you and your wonderful family. Enjoyed seeing Baby’s first photo shoot. Hee, hee!

24 March, 2006 at 11:04 amThanks for posting this…it practically makes me want to have another!! But since I’ve had 5 already, I am wiser and plus I made my husband swear up and down when he proposed marriage to me that we would never, EVER have kids. SO, I’ve already eaten my words five times over! A sixth would probably be embarrassing. =) Boy or girl- it makes no difference I can see- this baby is smothered with love from everyone around already! Good luck in the last half….and I hope to hook up with a spot at Creativeescapze!!!

24 March, 2006 at 11:22 amhi heidi! your journal page is so joyous. your outfit is very cute. loved seeing it. i liked the idea someone else posted about wearing a long tank, that would look cute on you too.
i also have 4 kids, ages 6,4, 2 and the baby is almost 5 mos. some days are harder than others, but i wouldn’t change it for the world. of course i’m crazy behind on layouts, but i’m saving some of those baby pages for when you show us yours!

24 March, 2006 at 1:51 pmI feel ya’ sister – I am exactly 20 weeks today too! I am pregnant with my 3rd and in the last two weeks I all of a sudden look totally pregnant. Old navy has nice long tank tops and I also found a website called Shade Clothing and they have very cute, long and comfy form fitting maternity tees. Good luck!

24 March, 2006 at 1:57 pmHow exciting!! Congrats again Heidi – only a few more weeks till we find out the gender of our little one… by the way, you look great! i’ve been in maternity shirts for a few weeks, although i can still get my low rise jeans on – i’m sure it’s a girl!!

24 March, 2006 at 4:44 pmCongrats with the pregancy! And a pregancyjournalbook, what a great idea 🙂 Wish I discovered scrapping *before* my pregancies 😀 Good luck! 🙂

24 March, 2006 at 6:07 pmyou look fabulous!! Love that long shirt with the short sweater…
And as I sit here at 36 1/2 weeks, I’m still fitting into a great pair of low rise stretch jeans from anthropologie (the key is to get the thinner material type one size bigger so they kind of roll around the tummy)…they totally rock and it’s nice to know I’ll have something that fits after the baby is born too 🙂

24 March, 2006 at 6:26 pmits hard to believe you’re half way already…how exciting! and i’m with the general consensus here and agree that you’re looking uber fabulous. love the page, its so “simply swapp” i just smile when i see your creations, so keep ’em coming! hope your weekend is wonderful.

24 March, 2006 at 6:49 pmLOVE your ultrasound layout for your journal! I’m 23 weeks along right now and since we have a modest baby, we weren’t able to tell from the ultrasound if we’re having a boy or girl. I’ve adjusted to the fact that it will be a wonderful surprise. Cute tummy- I have to say mine is so huge in comparison! I was in maternity pants back at 13 weeks! I do have a pair that are the most comfortable pair of pants in the world. Congratulations again!!!

25 March, 2006 at 9:33 amThis is a wonderful page. What a way to keep on top of things. You look so adorable in this picture. You barely look pregnant for being 1/2 way there. I am hoping for a girl. Then you would be 2-n-2. We need to keep your inspiration alive with generations. I am see Q is on her way. Keep the pages coming.
