a beautiful day for a color magic mini

a beautiful day for a color magic mini

it’s a beautiful morning…May 11th

11 years ago my sweet, life-loving daughter QUINCY was born.  I can hardly believe it! I remember it all like it was yesterday, I was SO excited to have a little girl. I decorated her nursery all decked out in PINK, and from day one she was a delightful princess. She has to be one of the happiest, enthusiastic and genuine people that I know.

I can’t imagine what I would do without her in my life! She is my HUGE help! I count on her for so much…and I am so proud of her. Last night eric and I decorated the kitchen, which is a birthday tradition for us…and we even had waffles for breakfast!  Happiest of Birthday’s to my sweet girl!

Today’s featured project is PERFECT for today…this SUPER colorful, fresh and happy project is totally inspiring me for something that I can make all about Quincy’s day! Q has such a big, bright personality…right when I saw it, I immediately thought of Quincy! I showed it to her immediately and she loved it!! and said the same thing-what a fun birthday project that would make!

Piradee played with all different types of Color Mediums creating this project! And that is the fun thing about Color Magic– ‘anything goes’…  This is what Piradee said about the color:

“I used the Color Magic papers to create the pages for my mini album; using the various mediums (mix of distress stains and mists).  Also the color scheme was based on the absolutely gorgeous Sugar Chic collection (LOVE LOVE the colors in this collection!). I had tons of fun working with the collection and the various embellishments; that paper bow tie is just to die for (super cute!).”

I must admit, I love that big bow on the front!

What a fun and simple project this is… and of course… can be made in your most favorite color combos!  Check out the mix of page shapes: circles, pennant, fussy cut hex! To bind this book, you can’t get any quicker or easier than a single book ring!

I love what Piradee’s approach to this book is:

“The theme for my mini album is about travels .. more along the line of my day to day life at the moment.  With the travel commitments for work, I’ll be living out of the hotel for while to come and only having the chance to travel back home on weekends. So my week at the moment, pretty much starts with arrival at the hotel. Then its the random moments within the week. Chilling out at the hotel lounge after work, discovering new restaurants nearby (and as much as I try to be health, can’t resist sneaking in a burger or two LOL).”

These bright colors surely inject some excitement into that work week! Thanks Piradee for rocking out the Color Magic!
