a travel journal with color magic and tombow
Welcome Friday! Whew… what a week!
Color Magic, as the name implies… is so amazing! This week, we have been kicking it back and forth with Tombow… it’s been such fun to see what the other designers have created…. and today I get to show off my creation!
This weekend, we are heading to Newport Beach as a family…so I decided to create a ‘travel journal’ that I can simply add photos to after the trip!
I had a great time working with my Tombow markers and the new Tombow Irojiten Color Dictionary Pencils. Both are great options for adding color to Color Magic and for playing off with some doodling and title work ..
On the cover, I took about 4-5 different colors of colored pencils and colored in the ‘open’ areas on the Color Magic file folder. It was fun to kinda create a ‘fade’ look as the color blends together through the patterns.
To complete the album I sewed in 3 different sized sheet protectors to give the book compartments to slide photos in, along with some other different pieces of paper to create pages for the book. I LOVE how it turned out! – you might be able to SPY some of my NEW product…(coming out at the CHA show next month)
Thanks to Tombow for involving us this week with the cross-promo! Love the markers…love the colored pencils… LOVE my ‘green glue’ as I affectionately call the MONO adhesive… l am a huge fan of ALL things TOMBOW, and it was a pleasure to play with their fabulous products!
