Art Walk Meets Athens
I love this time of the year! When Heidi showcases all of her brand new collections for the year! I have to say Art Walk might be my most favorite collection yet! Its full of color, gritty and shabby chic patterns and texture! I couldn’t go past using it for some of my favorite vacation photos in Athens last year. I had so many amazing photos I needed to create a regular scrapbook page and then some pocket pages as well. Let me share my layout with you.
As you can see I filled my pages with as many of the pattern papers as I could. I love the eclectic batch of colors and textures!
I used a couple of large hole punches to cut a variety of circles from the 6×8 paper pad. I then created a photo mat with the circles and used pop dots to add my photo.
As you can see my photo has that incredible quote on it which I created using one of the stencils from the Art Walk collection and the new MINC Texture Paste. I swiped the texture paste onto the photo, allowed it to dry and then ran it through my MINC machine with some silver foil! What a dramatic look it creates! I added one of the embossed tags to the circle by ripping off the bottom section to create a shabby feel.
In the smaller pocket page I trimmed some of the pattern papers to 3×4. I added in some of the new Art Walk Thickers which I accentuated with one of the texture stamps also from the collection.
Here I added one of the postage stamps to the middle of my photo!
We then move on to my 12 x 12 pocket page. Again I trimmed more of the pattern papers to fit into the pockets. I added another bit of stenciling with the MINC Texture Paste to one of the pocket pages. I added my journaling with my typewriter to another piece of the pattern paper and added one of the Art Walk stamps to complete the look.
To complete my layout I added some of the definition stickers in and around my photos. They are the perfect way to complete a travel layout!
I love the way my layouts came together and I cannot wait to create with the Art Walk collection again!
