ART WALK: PAPER PADS, DIE CUTS AND DIY EMBELLISHMENTS

ART WALK: PAPER PADS, DIE CUTS AND DIY EMBELLISHMENTS

Hello friends and welcome back.

Today is all about giving some love towards this fabulous 6×8 Art Walk Paper Pad.  I love using paper pads for a variety of reasons when creating projects.  Lately, they have become my number one ‘go to’ when creating embellishments.

Paper pads are excellent to use for embellishment making because so many of the beautiful designs we know and love that grace our 12×12 papers, are now scaled perfectly so that they can be incorporated into even more creative projects.  One of the best ways I love to use my 6×8 paper pads has to be in creating embellishments.

Die cuts and paper pads are my new favourite duo.  Whether it be an electronic cutting machine that does the job for you, or a hand held die cut machine using metal dies…these paper pads create such beautiful pieces.  Getting out your stash of dies and pairing them with smaller paper pads creates such beautiful details that can be used on all of your card making, scrapbooking and paper crafting projects.

I love these florals I created so much using the beautiful pinks and oranges of the Art Walk paper pad.  Mixed in with some naturals, they really transform into such pretty details.

Combine them all onto a layout, and ta-da!  Gorgeous DIY embellishments that add so much texture, detail and dimension.  I love how these look altogether.

Paper pads are such an easy way to capture the entire feel of a collection, and have so much versatility and options when it comes to using them.  This is just one of the many ways paper pads are used from my stash…and are a dream when paired with any die cutting system you may own and use.  I truly recommend trying out some designs with paper pads you may have your eye on or are currently in your stash.  They compliment the larger patterns so well!

This is one of my favourite creative tips and techniques that I have been using and I hope you try it out too.

Happy crafting.
