being left home from CHA summer!

being left home from CHA summer!

So for the second year in a row, I am missing the summer CHA show in Chicago…the advantus team is either already there or will be there tomorrow setting up and getting everything ready for the weekend. I really hate missing the show. I love seeing all my industry friends… it’s really the only time that we are all in once place and get a chance to catch up just a bit and see what everyone has been up to! Not to mention just the energy that exists at a show. It’s totally inspiring and invigorating! Sigh… I am so lucky to have awesome people on my team that I know will do a great job in my absence! There are a few sneak peeks out there floating around. If you are curious… you can check some of the stuff out here on the Scrap Etc. BLOG…Monique has posted images from the catalog just to get everyone excited! //www.moniquemclean.typepad.com … you will have to scroll past all the basic grey sneaks!  I keep wanting to play around with the new stuff that I have in my possession… but I have like ZERO energy. I hate it. but I am trying to go easy on myself!
If you are there checking out the Scrap Etc. site, be sure to check out the details of Monique’s (she is the owner) 2008 event.  She has invited me to participate in her event next year in april. It will be in Nashville at the Gaylord…the place is amazing, and a wonderful venue for an event! I taught for her in 2006, and had one of the most fabulous experiences of my teaching career. She has a really different vision for an event. Her  goal is to inspire LIFE… the theme is about telling your own story, and focusing on what you want from life… daring to DREAM. I am really excited to be a part of it. I am already working on something that I think will be very special. It’s all so right down my alley!
ACK! It’s almost midnight… it will only be a mere 2 hrs. before Connor will be hungry.
Off to bed.

Heidi – I was out of town all last week so I haven’t offered my congratulations for your lucky seven guy. What a gift to receive – another child to love and guide to adulthood. Everyone is so happy for you, yet feeling for you in the swirl of CRAZYBUSY life with 5 kids, two of them babies, and your work load. If I lived close I would come be a substitute granny to help out with the invisible jobs. And it’s amazing all the things your older three will be able to do for you. You are an incredible creative visionary. Your ideas come flowing out of you like a waterfall and give you work to do, give you energy, take your energy, inspire people (many, many people), and bring people together. Yes, you have been given all kinds of gifts in great number and I am only one who thanks you for using those gifts – your life, your family, your amazing ideas, and your kind, patient, loving heart- to bring people together and make life better for everyone, not just yourself. This crazy time will actually fly by (I had 3 kids in 3 1/2 years and for awhile it was nothing but diapersdiapersdiapers, cryingcryingcrying, and eatingeatingeating- and I can hardly remember it), but for NOW, be gentle with your own self.

You will be missed from CHA! This is my first time to go and I’m soooooo excited, but wish we could see you.
The Scrap Etc. event looks great! My friends and I have already reserved our room. Your class is the main reason I decided to attend this year, well and the fact that it will be spent with some fabulous ladies. I went to the 2006 event and was blessed to take your class, you were (and continue to be) such an inspiration. My “She” book goes everywhere with me. Thank you for being you!!

Congratulations on your new baby! I check your blog periodically and have to say I am in awe of your energy! I don’t know how you deal with the pressures of deadlines and HAVING to find that creative spark and produce new product lines…oh and have a few babies along the way! You truly inspire me!!!

The baby is adorable, congrats again! I just checked out Scrap Etc. 2008 event and I so want to go. The best thing about it is I just recently moved about an hour away from Nashville – hubby is in the Army. He’ll think I’m nuts but I’ve just got to find a way to get there, I’ll need a break from the kids around that time since he’s deploying in Sept. Thanks for sharing the information!

I’m excited to read about ScrapETC in Nashville but as a Nashvillian, I must tell you, it’s called Opryland or the Opryland Hotel. Gaylord owns stuff all over…but nothing compares to the Opryland Hotel. So now you are in the know!
🙂 Congrats on the sweet baby!
