Blush MemoryDex Spinner Comes to the Party
Invite the fun and beautiful Blush MemoryDex Spinner to your next party
You’ve seen the Blush MemoryDex Spinner be the holder of pretty stuff. You’ve seen the spinner hold memories like a rolodex mini album. Today let’s invite the Blush MemoryDex Spinner to the next party. And in my case that next party is my daughter’s bridal shower.
I had the idea this past fall when the Blush MemoryDex Spinner first came out to use it at my daughter’s bridal shower. The idea was to create a sort of guest book. Only each of the guests had their own envelope. In each envelope was a card. On the card the guest has the opportunity to write a note that could be a word of encouragement to the bride as she starts her new chapter. Or a funny anecdote. A quote. A verse. Or even a prayer over her life. It’s completely up to the guest. I thought this would be a very personal thing to hold in a MemoryDex Spinner. Plus, it’s a small activity to include during the party.
This idea shouldn’t just be for a bridal shower. This would be a beautiful way to celebrate a birthday. An anniversary. Or a retirement party. The possibilities are endless.
Here’s how my idea came together:
A few supplies were needed first:
* Blush MemoryDex Spinner
* MemoryDex Hole Punch
* Blush Minc Machine
* Champagne Foil
* WRMK Mini Envelope Punch Board
* something to embellish the first card
Using vellum and the Punch Board, I created enough envelopes for each of the guests. These were made using the Mini Envelope Punch Board. I created various sizes so that there would be interesting heights sitting in the Spinner.
TIP: Use 1/4-inch double sided tape to seal the envelopes. While not completely transparent, it is a very subtle way to adhere the seams together.
After I made all the vellum envelopes, I then punched each envelope. The MemoryDex Hole Punch is a great way to customize just about anything to be a MemoryDex card. So much so it was a quick way to make envelopes that would sit in the Spinner.
Next came what would go inside the envelopes. Inserts were made with white cardstock. I printed the ‘for you’ (from Heidi Swapp’s Valentines Digital Kit) on a 4×4-inch space. These were printed on my laser printer. Using Champagne Reactive Foil I foiled each card.
To finish, I trimmed the cards down if need be to fit the respective envelope. Then I popped all the envelopes into the Spinner. A cover card was created using my daughter’s wedding theme: better together. This was not only a joy to make, but I am also very much looking forward to my daughter having sentiments from each of her guests.
TIP: One other idea to go along with these cards and envelopes: take photos with each of the guests. After printing add them to each the envelopes. What a lovely little mini album and story to be told for years and years to come.
I hope this inspires you too to invite the MemoryDex Spinner to your next party.
