carefree for the memories
Last weekend we had some visitors to some trees at the end of our street. A mother and baby koala had climbed up to the safety of the tree top after walking on the road. We had spotted them and with some others was waiting for the koala rescue! I wanted to create a simple and clean page to record this memory so I created an easy grid using some the the new Care free pattern papers and got to work.
I used papers from the 6×8 Care free paper pad – that stunning cloud paper and that rich jewel coloured leaf paper. I printed my photo at 5×6 and adhered it to the bottom of the cloud paper.
I typed out my journaling onto some white cardstock cut to 4×6 and then used the Care free stamps to add the title of my page. I added some of the washi from the Care free collection to complete my journaling card.
I embellished each piece of pattern paper with a tag from the Care free tag set and stickers from the Storyline Chapters Project pad.
I used pop dots to life up my tags. I love the subtle touch of dimension and shadow this creates.
This layout took me less than an hour to create and as a busy wife, mum and teacher being quick is what I need these days. If you are time poor creating a grid pattern and adding a couple of embellishments is definitely a great way of getting your stories told.
