catch up.

I am having to take over eric’s computer as mine is at APPLE
DEPOT for 7-10 days. I am traumatized. All I can say is, thank heaven for my
iphone. It’s saving me…

This weekend, I had the opportunity to teach up in Rigby,
Idaho… Alicia King is about the cutest girl, that has the cutest little store
in Rigby—it’s a SMALL town! it’s located ½ way between Idaho Falls and
Rexburg (where BYU Idaho is located)… it is approx. a 4 hour drive from SLC.
Alicia’s place, “Scrapalicious” is the last scrapbook store in that area, and
it’s seriously the cutest thing! I loved it. Plus she has TONS of Heidi Swapp
product…maybe the most I have ever seen in one place!!  (except for the time I went to Ruban
Rouge 4 years or so ago! LOL). Get this, she even has some polk-a-dot masks.
Funny. So, Alicia’s store wasn’t big enough to have the classes, so she
arranged with ‘heidi’s fudge’ (no relation to me, and FABULOUS fudge!) to have
the classes there.

What a brilliant idea on Alicia’s part. It was perfect. It
was just around the corner from her store, and a perfect space. ‘Heidi’s Fudge’
has been in the fudge biz for 20 years or so, but this is their first building
and store front. They are mostly an internet company, and ship their goodies
all over the place! They specialize in corporate gifts as well as sending out
goodies to everyone on YOUR list! Check them out HERE!  they set up in the back ½ of the space
that is currently unused. They also had this HUGE granite countertop that we
were able to work on. They shut down all their production for us to be
there…and fed us non-stop samples of their delicious creations!

I taught a total of 5 classes… Friday night, the ‘family
memories’ class… I love that class cause we used the Zutter bind-it-all and
Claudine Hellmuth paints. I had revamped the class, and it went well (I
thought, chuckle). Saturday after I had breakfast at Smitty’s in Idaho Falls!
(loved that)… we had a full day starting w/ the Energy Journal class, then the
Heart Box class where we used Ranger Alcohol inks and Distress embossing on the
House of 3 Heart Box… got everyone all ready for the Halloween Book that uses
more of a mix of Alcohol inks and stamping, embossing and all kinds of
‘tricks’… I am here to tell you that I lost complete control of this class…
everyone was going crazy loving the holographic embossing, and the spooky
mirrors and all the fabulous (beyond fabulous) Halloween Stampers Anonymous
stamps! (thank you Tim!!)

I have never seen a class light on creative fire like
that one did! Perfect combo of new techniques, smooch paints, cool stuff to
work with (house of 3 halloween book is available as a downloadable PDF 'printable'… there are 4 pages total) etc. etc. and fabulous outcomes for
everyone! I just stood back and watched the mayhem!! It rocked!

We kept going still, crammed yet one more class into the
mix- I taught a QUICK (abbreviated) ‘secrets’ class… everyone was totally
exhausted by the end of the day! (me included).

IF you are interested, there are a few of the kits available
through Alicia King. THIS is her email address… no family memories kits, but
there are just a couple of the ‘energy journal’ kits, and the Halloween book… a
few of the heart box kits…(just add silver alcohol inks.. and she can probably
sell you those as well!) and some of the ‘Secrets’ class kits, that have
everything you need for 3 12×12 pages. VERY fun… if you want them, email her
quick! Step by step instructions will be available as well.

THANKS to all who came! And thanks to my friend Nichole, for
accompanying me on the drive! We had a blast…

I am being a mad-kitter this week getting ready for my trip
to Texas next week… it’s coming RIGHT UP! (ack!). I will be teaching at By
Design Scrapbooks in Houston…
I’ll be teaching a very EXCLUSIVE, only for BDS
‘apron’ class… we’ll be using the Yudu to make this…

and embellish with some of
my Beijing finds. I am also teaching my Creative Escape project, which is VERY
fun to complete, and a great gift! I am teaching an EXPANDED version of the
Halloween book as well as sharing my ‘Scrapbook Rewards’ presentation… so LOTS
going on there, and I can’t wait!

We are leaving from Houston, driving to Dallas, and I am
getting ready to post my sneak peek to that project! In Dallas, I’ll be
teaching w/ Janet Hopkins – we are each teaching a 3 hour class, with a break
for lunch. Then at the end of the evening, I’ll be sharing my big ‘scrapbook
rewards’ presentation… it’s going to be a great day for Creative souls!! For
sure! You can sign up for ‘a day to play’ HERE.

I am feeling happy that I have this weekend to be home!
Wednesday night of this week, I will be teaching here LOCALLY (Salt Lake
City/Sandy area). I will be teaching at a store on 9400S. and 7th
East (behind the McDonalds). It’s called Heartfelt Creations and it’s a
GIGANTIC store that is FILLED to the brim with everything!

Vickie (on the left) is the owner
and stocks an enormous supply of Ranger products, and well, enormous supply of
everything! (what you see in the background is like 1/10th of the stuff in this store!)  I will be teaching my Halloween Book, as well as the Halloween
‘treat’ box. (the spooky one).  I
have taught the Halloween book about 4 times now, and every time it’s an absolute
FAVORITE! As I mentioned above, there are tons of fun techniques and creative
possibilities! The class is from 6:30-10pm THIS WEDNESDAY evening. COME and
PLAY! You can call the store: (801) 233-9028. The cost is $60 for both

Ok, this turned out LONG and I just have one last little

These girls have been working to put together a NEW (and
very amazing) event right here in SLC. It’s called “Spark”… you can catch up on
the details here
… but I have heard some of their plans, and I can tell you that
you won’t want to miss it! It’s MUCH more than scrapbooking…it’s photography,
jewelry, fabric etc. grab a friend, and GO!

You will be so glad you did.

You know, we just have to nurture our creative souls… in all
my classes, I am constantly hearing ‘I so needed this’… everyone leaves with
ideas swirling and new friends and huge smiles. That is why I am loving what I
am doing right now! It’s so worth the effort!

by the way.. did you happen to see the new halloween blog couture? …
