Welcome to February and the month of Love. The thing I love about this time of the year is celebrating all the people in my family that I love. I love to celebrate my family with photos, they really are my love language. This year I am celebrating my love for my husband with an enlarged photo in my family album of him and I and a DIY Minc overlay I created.

I love the Gold Star Minc foil and I knew It would really shine ( literally) as an accent in my album. Let me share how I created my Minc over lay.

I began by looking online for a quote that spoke to me about my feelings about my husband. I then used my word processing program to create this printable. I experimented with various fonts and sizes, I made sure the words  took up most of my page. I then printed it off  onto a transparency using my laser printer.

I then used some Gold Star Foil and ran the transparency through my Minc machine.

Once I had printed off my photo I  laid the foiled transparency over the top of my photo.

When I am going to add the photo into my album I am going to add my transparency into a seperate plastic sleeve so I can lift it up to reveal the photo underneath.

I love how this Minc over lay looks, it brings a rich feel to my photo and tells my husband exactly how I feel.
