chasing summer with sun chaser
I am thrilled to be finally playing with the newest Heidi Swapp collection Sun Chaser. The colors for me scream Summer! The designs scream fun and frivolity and the patterns are just plain amazing! I couldn’t go past one of my favorite photos taken in Mykonos several Summer’s ago to coordinate with this stunning new collection.
I began by printing off my photo to 8.5 x 11. I then trimmed that sky pattern paper from the Sun Chaser 12 x 12 Pattern Paper pad also to 8.5 x 11. I adore the soft pastel colors in the pattern paper. I trimmed out that ‘Here’s the story’ card from the Pattern Paper pad and ran it through my typewriter to add my journaling. Such an easy way to add journaling.
I then trimmed one of the vellum pockets and tags to be the same length of my yellow card. I added one of the puffy stickers to the vellum pocket to add a touch of fun. I also added one of the definition stickers to complete my collage of ephemera.
To complete my page I then added two rows of machine stitching to add some subtle texture to my page.
On my enlarged photo I used the 6×8 Sun Chaser Pattern paper pad and used the rainbow pattern paper and the Hello die to cut out the word Hello. I layered that over that word remember trimmed from the 12 x 12 paper pad and then added a definition sticker to complete.
I love the fresh vibe from this new collection and cannot wait to create my next project with it!
