christmas marquee love chandelier
I love this time of year. I love that I can decorate my home with all things Christmasy and make it suit my decor. In Australia we are currently in Summer, and sometimes its hard to choose decor items because so many of them are winter related. But when I saw the Marquee Love Snowflake Chandelier I couldn’t help but want to hang it straight away in my home. The good thing about it being classic white is that it suits any home perfectly.
Today I want to share a quick “how to” of putting it together and then show you how and where I have it hanging in my home.
When you purchase the kit these are the pieces that you will find inside. A chandelier, lights and battery pack, bulb caps, hooks, snowflake stickers, fishing line and a gorgeous gem garland.
First grab the snowflake chipboard hooks.
Simply slide these onto your chandelier as desired.
Then to add in the bulb caps, simply push them through the chandelier holes. I found that slightly twisting the bulbs helped them go through the holes a little easier.
Next, place the light strand into the bulbs. There is an instruction sheet included in the kit that will demonstrate exactly where to begin adding in the lights. One point to note make sure the light strand is fed through below the white hanging chain to make sure the chain can hang freely.
Next drape the gorgeous gem garland over the chipboard hooks. The longer stand is for the top piece and the shorter for the bottom piece.
Unravel three lengths of the fishing line and cut to three different lengths. Tie one end of the fishing line to the top chain and feed it through the centre of the chandelier so it hangs down.
Peel off the matching snowflake stickers and sandwich the fishing line between the stickers. Ensure each of the stickers are at different heights to create a more natural look.
Now simply hang your chandelier to add a piece of elegance to your Christmas decor. I hung mine from a peg on my hanging pegboard by winding the top of the chain around the peg and securing it with some hidden blue tac.
Here you can see how all my favorite Christmas pieces including the chandelier are displayed on my pegboard. The regular lightbox and shelf lightbox which I customised to suit my decor by adding in the mint slide from another pack behind the snowflake slide. My 4 inch Marquee Lights which I shared a “how to” here in a previous post. The wooden reindeer I added some pink Marquee Love glitter to his antlers to match the decor of my other pieces.
You can also see the reindeer banner which I also customised to suit my colors. The reindeers had red saddles so I simply trimmed out some mint colored paper the shape of the saddle and adhered it onto the reindeer. I then used some Mint glitter and Marquee Love glue to add a bit of shimmer and shine.
I love that my chandelier looks so pretty during the day with the sun glittering through the gems but at night it looks just as pretty all lit up adding a touch of elegance to my home!
