color box love…
So I just have to mention a new little ‘addiction’ that I have been developing!! At preview day for Creative Escape, which- as I have mentioned before, it’s when we get all the volunteers and teachers together and go over all the classes, so that we all know what to expect, blah blah blah… well, i was really excited to get to know Rhonna a little better, as I think that she is a totally-rock start-designer, and she is just this little power house chick, and I am really stoked on what she is going to be presenting at CE…. And I was really curious to hear her, and create this project! well, I was totally motivated by her at the preview, and kept thinking and thinking about it, and wanting to get started on my own. Now, of course I am not going to give anything away here… cause you know how much I love to keep things a secret! (so CE is kinda like Christmas!!) anyway… part of her project is using these fabulous Color box inks (Awesome sponsors of Creative Escape)… so the last 3 or 4 days I have been totally playing with my acrylic stamps, and Rhonna’s acrylic stamps- by Autumn Leaves (another Awesome sponsor of CE!) with these Color Box inks… seriously… they work FABULOUS with the acrylic stamps! and check out these beautiful, vibrant colors! I have these stamps that are ‘journaling spot’ stamps in my line, … and I hadn’t played with them very much, and for whatever reason pulled them out today and went NUTS with them! so easy and cool and fun. So if you are wondering what is a great ink to use w/ all the FUN and FRESH acrylic stamps… find yourself some of these. they rock! It’s been charging my creative battery, and I have TOTALLY needed that!

20 July, 2007 at 4:54 pmAAWW C’mon Heidi! You are bumming me out. I went last year to CE with my mom and my husband and kids. We had the greatest time. My family lOVED the hotel and I cried when Stacy Julian gave her lecture. Well mom and I were on line with credit card in hand and ended up stunned that we aren’t going. Well we are still going to the river ranch, as my husband booked the hotel the day after we returned last year, but Ill be eating my heart out.
Any pitty?

24 July, 2007 at 11:16 amI just picked up the blue and pink at the scrap store yesterday. Can’t wait to use them with those stamps of yours that I absolutely LOVE!!! And, by the way, I just got done making your chocolate chip cookies (I’m sorry, but I do have the pink kitchenaid mixer, and I think YOU really deserve to have one!!). They are soooo yummy!!! Thanks for sharing your recipe. Love everything you do!!!!

25 July, 2007 at 4:12 pmI love the Chalk inks in the Colorbox brand–I appreciate your review of these! It is really frustrating to have an ink stamp differently than the color seen on the pad, so I look forward to using these and getting more “true” color.
Thanks for sharing! Hope all is going well with the baby!
