Create a Shabby Chic December Album Cover
Oh Christmas, My most favorite time of the year! I am so excited to decorate my home, go caroling and enjoy all that the season brings! I also cannot wait to start recording all the memories of December in my Christmas album. I wanted to get a head start on my album but I also wanted to create something one of a kind! I grabbed my Winter Wonderland Album Kit and created a deconstructed album!
I trimmed the fabric cover (from the Winter Wonderland Album Kit) in half and set about adding a Minc element to to the canvas using one of the FREEBIE cut files that Heidi is sharing with everyone this month! Let me share how my process came together.

I began by cutting the Reindeer cut file onto some white cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. I then laid one of my favorite spotty stencils from my stash and used a palette knife to add texture paste inside the Reindeer shape. I had to move the stencil down to fill the whole of the shape. I then allowed the texture paste to dry.
I chose some red Minc foil and cut it to fit over the texture paste and ran it through my Minc machine on setting 3.
I pulled it out and lifted the foil to reveal the stunning spotty reindeer shape.
I then trimmed the fabric and pulled some of the thread ends to create a shabby feel.
I took some red fabric and white tulle from my stash and stitched the cover canvas to the fabrics.
To complete my album I sewed on a red button for his nose and added some of the stickers from the Winter Wonderland sticker sheet to the bottom of my reindeer. Finally I adhered the fabric to an album I had in my stash.
I created a title page for my album by tearing out the pages from the Winter Wonderland Album kit, layering them and adding stickers and Ephemera from the Winter Wonderland collection.
I cannot wait for the 1st of December and to start filling up my album! How about you?
