Creating a MINC Foil Background
This is the part of the show that we here at Heidi Swapp along with the Media Team call Minc It Monday.
Minc It Monday is an (almost) weekly installment here at HeidiSwapp.com where we share with you, not only our love for all things Minc, but a tutorial on how you too can have fun and creative results with the Minc Machine Collection.
Today I want to show you how to create a two-tone Minc background on a scrapbook layout. Using the Hawthorne Collection as my go to paper and embellishement source, this layout shows off the Minc Mixed Media on a scrapbook page in a pretty, yet very doable fashion.
I especially want to point out that I used two foil colors. I will show you in the video below how you can run the background through the machine twice to get a layered foil look. This is a fun way to not only play and delve into some mixed media, but to get super creative with the foil and mediums to create endless possibilities.
The Pink and Champagne Reative Foils are great compliments to the Hawthorne Collection patterns and embellishments.
When two collections of paper goodness go together it just makes documenting and making stuff pretty that much easier. And I’ll take easier any day of the week. Do I get an amen?
The magic is in the Minc Reactive Paint. Be sure to grab some. Along with Pink and Champagne Foil. All the Heidi Swapp products used to create this page can be found at select JoAnn Stores. I have linked product at the end of the post.
As you watch the video, feel free to pause and play along with the process. And my most important tip of all! Let the Minc Paint dry before layering the foil and running through the Minc Machine. Else you are going to have blotched paint marks. And you won’t want that. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Enjoy the process video. Enjoy the creativity. And most of all, enjoy telling your story with Minc It Monday.
