December Countdown Album Finished Pages
Happiest Friday everyone. Huge shout out to all of us who have officially made it through our first week of December 2019. Way to GO!
I cannot believe we are weeks away from wrapping up 2019 and another decade.
It is astounding. Working on my 2019 December countdown album always proves to be such a sentimental task for me. I love it and am so appreciative and grateful for the time I spend investing my efforts into capturing the blessed little moments that always make this time of year so magical.
You may have remember a few weeks back where I shared a post on how I created my December album cover. You can see that post here.
This years album I am using the Heidi Swapp Winter Wonderland collection which you can see here. I also see that it is on sale right now which is always wonderful news if you have not yet decided on your December album yet. There is always time…even after the holidays are over to create your holiday memory keepsake.
This year my focus is not on a ‘daily’ concept. My album is housing “25 moments”. I find this works a lot better for me in terms of collecting my thoughts and not feeling overwhelmed if I do not get to something every single day. 25 moments will happen within the weeks leading up to Christmas and it is these memories that will fill up the pages of my book this year.
So far it is just brimming with photos that bring me such joy.
I love this albums ‘Merry and Bright’ vellum specialty page. I also love the paper that I placed behind it. All of the papers I am using to create my book are from the 12×12 Winter Wonderland Paper Pad. I love all of the detail of this specific paper, yet the softness of the vellum on top provides a perfect album opener. Tags and ephemera from the Ephemera pack are added for some additional texture and dimension.
I did not use the included string that comes with this album to embroider my cover, so instead I added it onto my page to hold my tags. I love the feel of texture in my mini’s and this was a fun way to incorporate the string.
I loved using the Heidi Swapp holiday digital word files cut out of Winter Wonderland paper to serve as ‘titles’ for each spread. They really help to celebrate each page and memory.
More ephemera, alphas and stamping to commemorate the beginnings of my kiddo’s favourite…the infamous advent calendar!
Of course last but not least…no December album in the beginning stages is complete without a visit to good ol’ St. Nick!
There were no tears this year….just a lot of curiosity, admiration and questions…as well as list giving from my crew! 😉
I am so anxious to see where the rest of our December journey of ’25 moments’ will take us this month!
Be sure to check out all of the Winter Wonderland collection in the DTC Heidi Swapp shop right now. You will find everything I used to create my album there (and more!). I know you will love honouring your December memories with it just as much as I am.
