DIY CARDS USING ART WALK
Happiest Friday friends.
Today I want to share some card making inspiration and ideas with you.
I am going to show you how fun this Art Walk Postcard and Postage Stamp is to create DIY cards with.
They are the perfect size and come in many gorgeous patterns and designs. These post cards serve as an excellent base and jump off point for card making.
To begin, I loved altering them a bit. To alter, I added some ‘slits’ into the postcard using a craft knife so that I could insert die cut tags. It is such an easy way to not only add layers, but also adds an interactive element as well.
You can see in this ‘hello’ card, how the tag is tucked inside.
I also added some additional tags on top, die cuts, stitching and stamping.
This next card is not interactive, but still utilizes the slit technique. I added some washi tape across, a die cut and a couple of my favourite stickers from the 6×12 Art Walk Sticker Sheet. A simple addition of ribbon and subtle stamping and voila! Another super cute card created. I love how they all turned out. Not only are they cute for giving but also fun additions into your Storyline Chapters Notebooks as well.
This last card I actually die cut the postcard into a large tag.
I added some more washi, stickers from the 6×12 Art Walk sticker sheet on top and some extra die cut butterflies I had laying around from an older project. The Art Walk White Embossed Tags were distressed with the soft pink chalk art ink and secured on top. Subtle Art Walk Texture Stamps highlighted the edges.
These Art Walk Postcards may just be my newest favourite yet!
If you are looking forward to some creative time this weekend, be sure to grab yourself a set of these postcards. They are so fun to design and create with, I know you will love them just as much as I do.
