DIY Interactive Travel Journal Pages
Hello my fellow Heidi Swapp friends.
I am finally back from my 5 week vacation and I am excited to be back in my craft room again. Sometimes it is hard to know where to start so I began with a small project for a friend. I love Journal Studio and I wanted to celebrate a special season in my friend’s daughter’s life. She has been spending the last few months at school in the school production of “Beauty and the Beast” and soon it will be show time! I wanted to create a little album for her to share her thoughts and feelings and memories so what better way than with one of the Journal Studio journals.
I started with the Black and White spotted Journal Kit , I love that it gives a sense of fun.
I then used the Floral Insert as my base journal. I thought the floral design fitted well with the theme.
I then created a title page for my album. I used that large “this year” sticker from the Journal Studio Sticker pack as a basis of my design.
I added some of the letter stickers around the circular design, then some puffy stickers and washi tape also from the Journal Studio collection to complete the page.
I then created a little slip in interactive component for some journaling and a photo. I share my process in the video below.
I used some papers from the Color Fresh paper pad to coordinate with the colors in the journal.
The page folds out and then slips in and out for safe keeping.
I plan to give the album to my friend’s daughter this weekend. I hope she likes it!
