DIY Journals | Emerson Lane & WeR Memory Keepers
Here we are just a few weeks away from the “Big Day!”
Are you ready?
Do you have all of your gifts bought/made?
As usual, I’m behind…but that’s OK.
I’ve learned that the important stuff always gets done…and if it doesn’t get done, it wasn’t important.
One thing I have finished, though, is the little gifts I like to give the girls in my Bible Study group.
This year I decided to create prayer journals for each of my friends.
Here’s what I used…
The We R Memory Keepers Bookbinding Tool is this insanely awesome invention that makes creating journals and books a breeze!
(I won’t go through how to use this tool here, but I’ve posted a video at the end of this post that shows you just how it works.)
Really…I was able to create all of the journals I needed (8 of them, to be exact) in just a couple of hours.
In addition to my Bookbinding Tool, I used some of of the gorgeous papers from Heidi’s Emerson Lane Collection…
…as well as these super cool Alphabet Stencils…
Here’s how my little books turned out…
LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!
To personalize the journals, I placed each Alphabet Stencil onto a scrap of patterned paper so that the letter was more easily readable, and then I adhered each letter to the front of a journal.
Ack! So fantastic! These colors!
These books make my heart so happy…
And I love that I can create them to be completely unique!
Man, I love how all of these look together in a stack.
Once all of my journals were finished I wrapped them up for gift-giving.
I love keeping gift-wrapping simple…so for these little presents all I used was some white tissue paper, a little baker’s twine, some Emerson Lane stickers and Heidi’s free Holiday Planner printable.
I cut apart some of the little tags and banners from the printable at used them as decoration on each package.
The gold-foiled alpha stickers help mark each gift’s recipient.
But honestly, how adorable are these packages?
And how stinking darling are they under the tree?!
I know my friends will love them.
Now it’s back to making more journals! I’m pretty sure this is never going to get old…
And oh yeah, here’s that video I promised…
