DIY marquee lights kitchen decor
I often say bigger is better and the brand new 10 Inch Marquee Love letters have become my new favorite way of adding some DIY decor pieces in my home. I wanted to share with you my Kitchen decor , more specifically my Marquee Love letters spelling the word EAT! It really is the perfect addition to my kitchen.
First let me share how I created my letters. I began with the 10 inch Marquee letters spelling the word EAT.
I then choose some coordinating pattern papers and 2 inch decorative tape to cover my letters. The yellow, mint and black and white papers come from the Memory Planner collection paper pad, the decorative tape came from the Spring Marquee collection and the new Gallery Wall collection.
Using the template inside each Marquee Letter pack trace around, then cut out each letter.
Place your cut out pattern paper letter back onto the shape, add the template on top and use a pencil to poke through the holes for the bulbs.
Add your decorative tape around the edge of the letters. I like to use a pencil to push against the tape to get a smooth even application of the tape.
Finally add your bulbs into the holes then push through the lights and you are ready to go!
I just love how the letters look in my kitchen, the colors are a perfect match for my decor.
As a side note when we first bought our house 7 years ago , the one thing that instantly attracted me to it was the gorgeous splashback in the kitchen. I am in awe of how amazing the Marquee Lights look against the mint glass.
It looks so pretty lit up at night as well.
I am looking forward to entertaining in the coming months so I can show off my lights to my guests. I know they will be super impressed as I am! The 10 inch letters really do have the WOW factor!
