DIY Minc Card
I have been playing around with the Minc Ink recently teaming it with some vellum from my stash and I came across a new technique that also involves the Minc brayer! It is going to open lots of new opportunities for me and hopefully you too. Let me share how easy this new technique is and how I created this fun card using my foiled vellum.
Is that iridescent foil just divine!
I started with a sheet of vellum, the Minc ink and the Minc brayer. I poured some of the Minc ink onto my craft sheet and then used the brayer to spread a thin layer onto the vellum. I allowed it to dry completely.
Once dry I can it through my Minc with some of the Minc Silver Square foil.
I made a simple card using some of the Carefree pattern paper and the Minc stamps. I used a large hole punch to punch that circle shape in the front and then trimmed some of my foiled vellum and adhered it behind the circle. I completed my card by adhering a plain pieces if white card stock trimmed to size and with the same hole punch out on the inside of the card to hide the vellum adhesive.
I love the eclectic feel to this card, the semi translucent feel that the vellum brings and the shimmer and shine that the foiled vellum gives. I can’t wait to try this idea again. You can find all the supplies for my card at JoAnn stores now.
