Welcome back to the blog. As I was cleaning out my phone recently I came across this photo of my boys from last Easter. It struck me how much they had changed in just 12 months. But I also loved that even though my boys are now teenagers, then and now- they are still willing to be in front of the camera. I know in years to come I will treasure these memories even more. I wanted to get this memory down straight away so I grabbed my Storyline Chapters Scrapbook insert and got to work.
I began by printing off my photo at 7.5 x 9 and adhering it to the right side of my spread.
I then took some stamps from the Art Walk Project Pad and the Art Walk collection to embellish the opposite page. I love the bright pops of yellow, blue and pink from the Art Walk letter stickers and labels from the 6×12 Sticker sheet that makes my black and white photo pop. I spelled out the word Easter blessings and then adding the word Happy using the Minc Color Fresh clear stamp set.
I created a collage effect using the stickers and stamps and added some simple journaling using the prompts taken from the Art Walk sticker sheet. I love the bold speech bubbles stamped in black which really pops against the yellow letters.
To complete my page I added one of the Art Walk definition stickers and some repeat stamping from the clear stamp set for some subtle texture.
I love that I have recorded this photo forever, it really is worth the time to get our stories told! Don’t forget you can find these goodies at your local JoAnn stores now.
