Easy Grid Style Scrapbook Page
I adore the rich and elegant colors in the new Hawthorne collection. One of my favorite pattern papers is the 9th and 9th grid pattern paper. I love that it combines some of the different patterns, tones and textures in the one pattern paper. To me it makes it a super easy piece of paper to use to get a page done quickly. Simply add some photos into some of the grid design , add some embellishments and journaling and you are done!
Let me show you how quick and easy it was to complete my layout.
I began with the 9th and 9th pattern paper and ran it through my We R Memory Keepers typecast typewriter to add my journaling to the top right ledger square. I felt that a couple of the patterns in the grid did not match the colors in my photos so I trimmed some of the blue stripe and pink floral from the Eden pattern paper and trimmed them to fit into the grid. I then went ahead and adhered my photos to the pattern paper.
To add my title I used one of the Foam sticker words and some gold Minc foil. Simply trimmed a small piece of the foil, laid it over the foam sticker and used my finger to gently rub on the foil. The adhesive on the sticker adheres the foil to the word. It is so easy but I love that you can add any colour of foil to make it your own. I then used some of the Alphabet Stickers to form the rest of my title. I sanded around the edge of the letters for a rustic feel. To complete the title cluster I adhered some of the honeycomb shape ephemera pieces over the honeycomb shapes pattern on the paper, I love the eclectic feel it brings to the page.
I added a touch of stamping and washi to my journaling using the Clear stamps phrases set and the gorgeous washi pack.
I had an extra photo I wanted to add to my layout so I created a hidden piece under the pink floral paper square that is attached on the side with some of the Polka Dot washi. I added one of the foiled Ephemera piece to embellish simply.the square of floral pattern paper.
I then adhered my photo with another piece of washi on the right hand side so It can be liftted up as well.
Finally I added a bottom layer to the hidden area with some of the ephemera pieces and the layered stamping Clear stamps which once stamped I punched out with a circle punch and adhered to the page. To complete I added more strips of the washi and some of the word jumble Minc stickers !
I love the mixture of feminine and masculine colors in my layout. It is so easy to create a striking layout using the Hawthorne collection. Mix and match textures, ephemera, papers and stamps for an easy but stunning addition to your memory keeping album.
