Emerson Lane | Ephemera vs. Stickers
Which do you love more? Ephemera or stickers? I love having both options and when creating a page. You can get the same look with both! Here are 2 layouts featuring both to give you a better idea!
Layer stickers to make them stand out. On the page above, I used pop-up squares to lift some of the stickers off the page. Some scrapbookers still use the old trick of adding talcum powder to the back of a sticker so that it isn’t sticky anymore. However, I don’t even bother with that step – the sticker pops off the page just fine.
Place large stickers right over a photograph to build on your title. I think a great phrase sticker is begging to be used!
Ephemera works the same way! Find the pieces that you love and build on the design. What is nice about a good ephemera pack, is that there are a mixture of papers inside the pack that you can play with more than a sticker sheet. For example, in the Emerson Lane Ephemera pack there’s regular cardstock and vellum embellishments which is fun when layering over pattern paper.
Whether you prefer stickers over ephemera, it is nice to have both options! In fact, who says you have to have one or the other? Mix and them both and “make pretty stuff”!
Emerson Lane can be found in independent and online stores now!
