Emerson Lane | Girl Squad
I have a small group of girlfriends at my work which I just adore. We have been good friends for 3 years now after working in classrooms next door to each other. Some of the girls have moved onto different schools but we have all remained great friends. We laugh, cry, share stories and support each other so I wanted to create a special scrapbook page about our friendship. I wanted a feminine collection but not too girly so naturally I went straight to the Emerson Lane collection.
I started with three base pattern papers- Restoration, Details and Easy Peasy which I trimmed and layered on top of each other. I used some gold thread and stitched around the edge of my top layer.
I then teamed it with the gorgeous Girl Squad cut file from Paige Evans. I used the 6 x 6 Emerson Lane paper pad to back each letter and then adhered it to the base with some pop dots!
I added our nickname title with some of the Heidi Thickers from the Emerson Lane collection over the cut file. I also added some of the Ephemera and 12 x 6 stickers from the Emerson Lane collection in and around the cut file. I added an extra subtitle using the Gold Washi Alphabet stickers as well. For a subtle pop of color I also used one of the pretty photo corners on my photo.
I added my photos and created a hidden journaling pocket under one of them. I trimmed a piece of the Details pattern paper into a tag shape and used my typewriter to add the journalling. I stapled another of the Ephemera pieces to my photo for further embellishment.
I not only love telling my family’s stories but also the stories and memories of my life. It is so important that we are not forgotten in our scrapbooks, it is all part of the rich tapestry of me!
