Emerson Lane in my December Album
How are you going with your December album? It has been such a busy month but some how I have managed to stay up to date with each passing day in my album. I have kept it simple by using photos from my phone and coordinating embellishments. For day 15 we visited a beautiful park in our city in Brisbane which has beautiful lights throughout. When I was thinking about the photos I took, the gorgeous floral Specialty Vellum from the Emerson Lane collection came to mind straight away. It has a stunning gold pattern all over it which is perfect for December albums.
I started by trimming the piece of the Specialty vellum-Gold Floral to just slightly smaller than my page. I am using the Storyline Mini Album – Gold Dots album available at JOANN. I then added some washi from the Washi pack to the top of the vellum and added it to the top of my page to create a lift up flap
I then found this fun Christmas Tree cut file from Paige Evans and cut it out onto white American Crafts cardstock. I then adhered it to the vellum.
I grabbed some of these fun Alphabet Stencils and layered over 2 to create my title. Next I used some of the word stickers from the sticker pack to add some decorations to my tree. Finally I added some of the Heidi Thickers from the Emerson Lane collection to add the day marker and the front was complete.
You can see how the specialty paper lifts up to reveal the hidden goodness underneath.
I adhered a 4×6 photo to the left side of the page and then punched a glitter star and added another of the word stickers. On the right I grabbed a piece of Ephemera and ran it through my We R Memory Keepers Typewriter to add the journaling. I then adhered another of the stickers from the sticker sheet and attached it to my page with another piece of washi from the Emerson Lane collection. I added that vellum tag also from the Ephemera pack to act as a lift the flap.
The flap lifts to reveal another photo from the night. I added some of the thickers in Heidi’s handwriting to embellish the page.
I am hoping to have my December Album complete by the 27th… I can have have hope, can’t I?!!
