Emerson Lane | Memories Captured and Documented
I love when I look at my photos and I immediately think of a scrapbook collection that will suit them perfectly! The new Emerson Lane collection is both a combination of feminine floral and spotty and striped masculine. When I saw these photos of my eldest son I knew this collection would be perfect. The blue spot and the alphabet pattern paper which totally sung school to me and the embellishments that reminded me of vintage stationary…well it was a perfect match.
As I mentioned I started off with my base pattern paper which is the reverse side of the Harrison pattern paper.
I then trimmed two pieces from the Easy Peasy and the Emery pattern papers to fit within the first set of letters around the edge of the base pattern paper. The letters almost form a border around the two pieces of blue pattern papers. I then used my sewing machine to stitch around the edge of the blue pattern papers.
I added my photos and then took some of the Ephemera pieces and stickers from the Sticker sheet and adhered them in and around my photos. I added some with pop dots for extra depth and dimension. I then added my title using the Heidi thickers. They fitted perfectly along the side of my photo.
The night of my son’s graduation his grade performed a special dance which I filmed on my phone. I wanted to keep it forever so I uploaded it to youtube and then created a QR code that links back to the video once scanned. I changed the colour of the QR code to dark blue to suit the colors of my layout and added it to my layout as a final finishing touch.I love that this recent memory is now recorded safely in my scrapbook album.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back later this month with more projects using the gorgeous Emerson collection.
