Fathers Day | DIY Banner Greeting
There is a brand new DIY in town. It’s called the DIY Sign Banner. I thought it would be fun to get a little playful with this new fangled way to say the words and keep it visual.
Father’s Day is just around the corner…I know…right!?! Time to give dear ol’ Dad his props. This family is going to be on the road for Father’s Day. This necessitated getting our gifts ready a little early, and letting Dad know how much he is loved before Sunday dawned. This also required putting the new Sign Banner out, front and center, and creating a sort of card sentiment just for him.
This little endeavor to tell Dad how much we cared starts, of course, with the Sign Banner, available at Michaels Stores.
But wait, there’s more. . . there are also these mega packs of Mini Icons and Mini Letters because that’s what fits in this sign. The mini sized letters. So cute, right?
And plenty to choose from to make all the words say just what needs to be said.
Starting with the Mini Icons, and with a little help from my tribe here at home, we created a fun sentiment based on some of the icons pulled together from the pack. A sort of rebus if you will.
All the icons were placed on the sign banner first.
Once those were set, we filled in the spaces with the words.
Dear Pop, We love you. You are the world. Do not forget!
How fun was that?
This made for a fun little dad vignette to remind him every time he comes through here just what this clan thinks of him.
This little technique can of course be done with the Mini Lightbox or even the regular size Lightbox. There are just a few more lines available on the DIY Banner Sign, and that is just enough space to tell our guy he is the world.
Supplies: Heidi Swapp DIY Sign Banner available at Michael’s Stores.
