Finished Memory Planner Pages | 2018ex Excavate
Have you been downloading the monthly FREE planner printable in the 2018ex planner series? It isn’t too late to join the journey as it is a self-paced FREE planner workshop. Just head over to the home-page, watch the introduction video, print the planner printables and get started! Each month’s theme have pushed me to set some goals for myself and this month’s Excavate didn’t disappoint.
I printed the printable on vellum and cut it instead of folding it. I then punched the circles out of page 2 and placed them with my photos. They just felt like they belonged!
I documented my excavation plan and it wasn’t easy to write. Some of the questions were…
What can I let go of?
When can I make space in my schedule?
Why do I need more space in my life?
As a Mom, I don’t have “free” time or wasted time I can just “give” up. So this challenge made me really re-think what I needed to “excavate”… and then it dawned on me.
I needed to let go and give time to myself.
Since I really do not have time in my day that is idle, I had to sit back and think how I was going to do that. I always strive to be the best. To give 110%. I realized that being perfect will never be accomplished. However, what my mother always told me kept ringing in my ears, “As long as you do your best that is all that matters.”
Doing our best should be all that matters.
Did I succeed in the June month challenge? It is still a work in progress and changing something about my character will not manifest overnight. It will take time.
Do I wish that my excavate challenge wasn’t just “clean the garage”? YES! Ha! It totally could have been and I could be parking in my garage by now. Ha!
I am glad, instead, I felt the pull on my heart to let go and to give to myself a little more. In doing this, I will become a better person for my husband and children.
