Foiled DIY Mirror
I love a good DIY project and because I live in a house full of boys when I can get a little girly it is even better!
Today I want to share a brand new technique using the Minc machine, Pink and Gold ombre foil and some silhouette vinyl!
I created the prettiest hand held mirror art that would be perfect for a gift for a girl of any age.
I started with the Minc Pink and Gold Ombre foil and this beautiful pewter hand held mirror that I found at a local home decor store.
I created a file in my silhouette cameo software with the words “You are beautiful” and chose a swirling font for an elegant look.
I followed this tutorial to create the rounded text to match the shape of my mirror.
I then followed Jennifer Evans video tutorial found here to cut out the words and foil the vinyl in my Minc machine.
My last step was to clean my mirror with window cleaner to avoid any dust, dirt or oil from being on my mirror and then applied the vinyl words with silhouette transfer paper.
It sits so prettily on my vanity in my bedroom.
I love the elegance it brings to my room.
The Pink and Gold Ombre foil is just so delicious!
It even looks pretty at night all lit up with my Marquee Mirror shining down.
I hope I have inspired you to think a little outside the box next time you are creating with your Minc machine! There are a thousand and one possibilities!
Before I go…..If you love the Minc be sure to check out my latest class over at Big Picture Classes called Interactive Journal! Not only do I share some fun Interactive techniques using the Minc Journal but also some new tips and techniques for adding Minc foiled touches into your journals as well.
