Fun, Easy and Care Free Paper Make
Let’s make some fun and easy
It’s been a minute since I made something home decor or wall art related. Today, my friends, is the day.
And did I say easy? I just grabbed a bunch of Heidi Swapp Care Free Papers. Then using some butterfly die cuts I had on hand, I simply die cut a bunch of the patterns. No real rhyme or reason. I just stayed with a color palette. But this could, of course, go any direction. You could use any pattern papers. Any colors. And any paper punch or die cut icon. The ideas are endless with this one, I tell ya.
Then, it was as easy as adhering them down on a canvas. I am using a 12×12 canvas that was literally sitting in my craft closet just waiting for me to take it out of it’s package and make something pretty and fun.
For adhesion, one could use a hot glue gun, or foam adhesive dots, or even glue dots. If you used glue dots then you could remove the butterflies at the end of the warm season, and make a completely different wall art canvas. It’s the paper craft that just keeps giving.
Not to mention – what a great way to use up your scraps. Put those bits and pieces to work for you in a fun and playful way. I mean, you do save your scraps right? Tell me I am not the only one.
I also added a little sentiment. The sticker is from the Care Free Project Pad. Adhering the sticker to a piece of heavy cardstock, I fussy cut around the shape. Then I used foam tape to elevate even a bit more. I like the idea of the sentiment on this canvas. Great little upbeat reminder too.
I hope this has inspired you to do a couple of things: take time for some creative play. Use up your scraps. And keep all the upbeat sentiments in view. Oh, and keep it fun.
