Fun Shine with Pineapple Crush
Ahh Summer I love you! Over here in the Southern Hemisphere we are just leaving our Summer and sliding into Autumn. It truly is my favorite time of the year. When Heidi released the Pineapple Crush collection this past January I think I jumped for joy so many times…it was filled with the colors I love, the patterns I love and the perfect Summer feeling! I couldn’t wait to start scrapping a layout and today I am sharing my first Pineapple Crush project!
I started with the stunning Good Vibes pattern paper, I just adore the geometric design and the bold yet subtle colors. I wanted to soften the middle area of my layout for my embellishments to have a home so I grabbed a piece of white cardstock and a dinner plate and traced and cut out a circle. I then adhered it down onto my pattern paper and used my sewing machine for some stitching detail around the edge.
I then grabbed the gorgeous Flamingle pattern paper and used the “b” side with the cute spots. I used my Silhouette Cameo and a cut file I have to cut out the cute palm tree. I adhered the tree to the middle of the white circle and added the leaves with pop dots for some dimension. I adhered my photo to the left of the tree then added some washi tape to the corner of the photo.
I used some of the clear stamps for my title- Fun Shine and then some extra added color in and around the palm tree. My favourite has to be the cute flamingo which I stamped in pink ink. I added some hand stitching detail and another of the clear stamps which I stamped on a separate piece of white cardstock, trimmed it out and added with pop dots. I then grabbed some of the puffy stickers and scattered them around my layout for extra pops of colour.
To complete my layout I added my most important detail – the journaling using some strip journalling and then adhered it above my photo.
I love how bright and Summery this layout is, with the cute pink flamingo and and spotty palm tree…whats not to love?!
