Gallery Wall Halloween Update | Marquee Love
Hey hey everybody! With Halloween just right around the corner, I decided it was time to give my little Gallery Wall at the bottom of my kitchen stairs a quick change-up.
This is what it looks like most of the time (designed with products from the Heidi’s Gallery Wall Collection available at Michaels and blogged about HERE):
And this is what it looks like now with a festive change!
Before I started this little mini redo, I knew I wanted to follow a few rules…
First, I wanted this to be FAST. I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of time reinventing the wheel. I just wanted to change it up for the holiday.
Second, I wanted to use all of the pieces that were already on the wall…no rearranging or re-hanging…
and third, I wanted to be able to go back to my original decorations…or at least as much as possible…without too much trouble.
I started with the frames at the top of the wall. I traded out the “be happy” print (from the Gallery Wall Collection) with the Trick or Treat Luminary Box insert. It fits perfectly! And I LOVE that pop of orange. I tucked a little ghost from the Marquee Love Ghost Garland into the next frame and replaced my “Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder” print with a little orange tassel (part of the Marquee Love BOO banner).
The darling little Marquee Love Jack-O-Lantern (sans the scary eyes & mouth!) now sits atop the metal plaque (with the aid of a Command Strip) where my navy blue glitter paper and gold giraffe used to hang. I had to remove the paper from the plaque in order to change up this piece…and I’m not sure I’ll replace it after Halloween…we’ll see.
The Spider/Web Luminary Box insert fits right under the striped mat in this frame. I didn’t even remove the screenprint. And I replaced the photos of my kids in the frame with paper banners – also from the Marquee Love Boo Banner.
To cover the pink “FIVE” on this painted faux wood pallet sign, I grabbed the Trick or Treat Lightbox insert, backed it with a piece of white paper (using paperclips to keep the two pieces together) & adhered it to the pallet board with some pop dots.
This little guy is my favorite. For this frame, I simply took down the gold/navy heart canvas & replaced it with skull from the Marquee Love Skull Banner.
Easy peasy! And done in just under an hour!
And here is a comparison of the two designs…
I’m so happy with the way this wall looks now…and I’m so excited to think about all of the possibilities for future holiday decor!
