getting ready…

getting ready…

Hey everyone… this week's webshow is more of a 'technique based' show- and so i wanted to give you a heads up in case you wanted to gather together the stuff to create along with me!  sometimes, the chatting is moving too fast to be working! but just in case!  Halloween is still a while away, but i have started to decorate a little in the entry way. it's still a work in progress… this is just the beginning!! (i love the halloween stuff)

you can see here my little witches hats, and decorated candles that i have showed off in the past couple webshows! everyone that comes in loves the hats!

This week, i want to show you a really fun, and oh-so-easy technique of creating a spooky mirror!

So, you can grab ANY mirror you may have that you want to 'spookify'…  even on old heidi swapp mirror album if you happen to have one around! (i might even be giving a couple away tomorrow night!) after we get done making the mirror misty and spooky, i am going to even show you how to clean it off!

here is what you will need :

blending tool with felt

alcohol ink blending solution

Slate alcohol ink

sandal alcohol ink

silver alcohol ink

gold alcohol ink

archival ink- black

heidi swapp texture stamps by Tattered Angels

rusty hinge distress ink

black soot distress ink

chandelier glam (can you see the shimmer on the skull below?)

organic garden glam

then, i am going to reveal my secrets for making this little darlings… i made them using black crepe paper along with these sugary silver leaves! so fab!

the mirror project  is so easy, that i will also have time to show you this:

if you know me at all, i am a counter-downer! i LOVE a good countdown!  my computer crashed in the middle of me creating the entire countdown- so we'll see if we get it done in time for the show for download! but i'll be showing you how i created this using bits and pieces of my "capture beauty" kit.

SO, i do hope you will join me!
