Gift Set Made with Art Walk Paper Line
Using your scrapbook stash for making gifts sets
It is the middle of the month of November already. And I don’t know about you, but the gift list is long and a bit daunting. And I don’t know about you, but I really want to create as handmade a Christmas as I possibly can. Starting right here with this collection I call an Art Walk Gift Set.
From the left of the above image is a peek of an interactive card I made to go with this little paper montage of gifts. The middle is a handmade journal. Then that cutey little ‘LOVE” piece is an accordion album.
This journal was made in the tradition of the handmade travelers notebooks you see everywhere on Pinterest. It’s 4×8-inches finished. It’s simply copy paper folded in half. Then a cover of Art Walk solid paper found in the Art Walk Project Pad creates the cover. The edges were distressed with the Art Walk Distress Stamps. Those stamps come in clutch all the time! And then the JOY title was from the alpha sticker sheet, which is also part of the Art Walk Project Pad. Friends, it does not have to be complicated to be beautiful. A simple TN notebook, bound with sewing or stapled, is always a welcomed gift.
Of course one needs a card. For gifts, I tend to go to a bit more trouble for my cards. These cards usually have a bit more technique to them.
The card base is the holder for the actual card. Loving that text paper from the Art Walk Project Pad, I really needed it to be the main card. It is tri-folded, with plenty of room to share sentiments with the receiver.
The third item that is part of this gift set is an accordion album. Do you remember those? I have not made one for quite some time now. We sort of ebb and flow between different album techniques, don’t we?
I was pretty happy how this one turned out. There is a pocket with a tag for more journaling. Off camera the panel is ready to hold a photo. The other two panels were simply embellished with more Art Walk plus a few die cuts.
Creating handmade gifts from scrapbook collections is a very personalized way to give gifts. It can become a treasure to the receiver. And, you have the added benefit of enjoying the process of making pretty stuff.
