Gift Wrapping with Marquee Love Banners
The big rush is on!
Christmas is just 6 days away!
Do you have everything done?
I haven’t…but I have a plan – sort of.
The biggest thing looming over me right now is ALL of my gift-wrapping.
I feel like the wrapping takes me FOREVER…and it’s probably because I like to add little special touches to my gifts…especially for those going to friends and family.
My kids gifts? Not so much…quite frankly, my kids’ gifts are wrapped super-simply…I don’t think they even notice the wrapping, so I don’t knock myself out making their Christmas-morning gifts pretty.
Anyway, I was looking for something a little different to add to my nieces’ gifts, when I happened to notice a couple of Heidi’s Marquee Love banners that had been hanging in my kitchen.
I had planned to take them down before a party we are having – because I wanted to add a large print to the space they were in – so I wasn’t concerned about messing up any decor.
I disassembled them and got to work adding them to my packages…
I added a little adhesive to the backs of each of the letters in the “To All a Good Night” banner and just popped them on the gift. A few little ribbons & a tag and done!
I even wrapped the string of lights the banner is made with around the gift for a little extra pizzazz!
This package really stands out under the tree…especially with those lights!
The little reindeer pieces from the Reindeer Light Garland make the perfect tags when added to small muslin gift bags.
All they required was a hole punch a little twine!
I used the remaining reindeer and the sleigh from the garland on this package.
I ran a black ink pad around the sleigh to give it a little more depth, and to make it stand out on the red gift wrap a little better.
Then I adhered 2 reindeer together, slightly askew, with pop dots…
…and twisted pieces of a small floral pick around their necks.
Finally, I took a piece of twine and created little reins I looped around each front reindeer’s neck. I connected the twine to the sleigh with a little glue dot.
Now these gifts are all set to go! I think the banner pieces really dress them up and I’m so happy I was able to use the pieces and not just store them away.
I hope I’ve inspired you think outside the box a little when it comes to gift-wrapping!
And I hope in this last week before the holiday you are able to knock out that to-do list and relax and enjoy time with those you love…
Merry Christmas!
