Halloween In Lights | Sit For a Spell
It is October which means it’s time to break out the Halloween inspiration! I have to share this party idea I created for Michael’s Stores. The kids LOVED it and I hope you do too! You will be so shocked at how easy this tablescape is to make. Quick DIY hacks will make you feel like a pro party planner and your guests won’t know the difference – they will just be “wowed”!
Light up a Lightbox. Give your Lightbox some height by cutting off a stem from a craft pumpkin. Your Lightbox or Lightbox Glow will sit right on top. It doesn’t get much easier than that! Add floral stems around the bottom of the pumpkin and your centerpiece is done.
Create your own cake stands. Give your table a rustic fall look with a DIY cake stand! Just glue wood discs, found at Michael’s in the unfinished wood section of the store, to a rustic candle holder with E6000 Adhesive.
Then pile up the fall treats, like pumpkin cupcakes and marionberry bites. Fill up milk glasses with apple cider and party straws.
Hang your marquee on a rustic plaque. These plaques are already treated and have that farm-house vibe. Light up your marquee according to the package directions and then hang it with a simple nail or push pin on the plaque. Then you can use the plaque for another party or home decor piece.
Hang a banner. The Eek marquee banner makes the coolest backdrop. Hang with some paper party fans for added drama.
I hope a few of these DIY hacks inspired you to add a few at your Halloween or Harvest party – your guests will definitely want to “sit for a spell”.
