Halloween on Display
I love this time of year, the start of all the fun celebrations we love! One of the things I love the most is decorating my home! This year I am excited t0 introduce the new Halloween Neon into my home decor and I have found a fun new area in my home to decorate. You see mantels are not that common in Australia so I have decided to go for a glass display cabinet for my holiday decorating this year. I have had this glass cabinet from IKEA for a little while now and I couldn’t wait to get decorating.
The lights look fabulous shining through the glass doors don’t you think!
Let me share the pieces in my decor. Let’s start at the top of the cabinet. I took the Halloween Neon pumpkin and threaded the orange Neon wire through. I then added it and some of my decor pieces from my stash creating a little vignette. I then layered the Glitter Beware Wall word against some of the decor pieces. I wanted to keep it simple to allow the pumpkin to take center stage.
I love how the Neon shines through.
Inside the cabinet on the top shelf I added the Marquee Skull. To add a touch of whimsy to the the skull I hot glued some flowers from my stash to the outside of the skull.
Don’t you love how the image on the front of the skull changes depending on the position that you are standing.
Next shelf down I added another of the Neon pieces, this time the Neon Boo Wall Word.
I threaded some of the purple Neon wire through the word.
Purple Neon is the perfect Halloween color!
I left the end of the wire on and curled it around to create a bit of a web for some of my spiders!
Finally on the bottom shelf I added my Haunted Wooden wall word which I painted in mint and added some Mint Marquee Love glitter.
I simply laid the haunted word over the top of the Neon 31, which I left free of Neon.
My Glass cabinet sits at the top of our staircase and I can’t wait for October to have it all lit up at night! It is going to be so much fun!!
