HAND DRAWN FROM THE HEART I FOILED HEART CARD
Hello everyone and welcome back.
I am here with a Valentine inspired tutorial that I just know you will all love. It is quick, easy, and the results are oh so pretty.
It encompasses all the soft romanticism and vintage touches that would even make Cupid swoon.
I do not think there is anything better.
To create these cards you will need the following supplies:
Smooth white card stock trimmed to 8.5 inches wide x 5.5 inches tall
Distress Oxide ink in Tattered Rose
Black Stamping Ink
Heidi Swapp Stamp Society Monthly Stamp Set or any other Valentine inspired stamp set you may own.
Heart Template (die cut or hand drawn)
Ribbon for embellishing
Watch my video tutorial to see just how easy it is to create a custom DIY valentine card using a Minc Glue Pen and Minc Foil Flakes available at JoAnn Stores and JoAnn online.
With just a basic heart stencil and the Glue Pen, it really is remarkable how the foil transforms itself into a gorgeous work of art.
I love how the imperfect touches really add to the character of the card.
Each and every one made will always be a bit unique, which adds to the specialty for sure.
Adding the distress ink onto the card with a blending tool is also a great way to add additional colour. This would be fun to even combine different shades together for an ombre effect. A lot of room to play and experiment more with this for sure. Just a fun additional tip 🙂
I loved creating these cards!
I hope you are inspired to try out this very fun technique.
I promise you will love how easy it is to create beautiful foiled effects with just a glue pen and some foil flakes.
Cheers to love! XO
