Happy “National Write Your Story Day!”
Scrapbookers & documenters nationwide rejoice!
Finally! A day dedicated to those of us who know just how important this hobby is…yay!
And, whether you’re a seasoned vet at this storytelling game, or you’ve never laid your hands on an embellishment, you can get those stories told quickly and easily…and beautifully.
It comes with everything you see here…a darling crushed velvet covered spiral-bound album – perfect for your 4×4 or smaller photos – sticky photo corners, and a ton of cardstock embellishments!
I decided to tell a few stories of my own using this kit…and a few things (pen, pencil, ruler) I borrowed from another one of Heidi’s new kits…the Lettering Kit.
Before I show you a few pages, here’s what the inside of this little album looks like.
One side has your basic “WHO,” “WHAT,” & “WHERE”…
…and the other side has information to date your story/photo.
You may recognize this format from Heidi’s hugely popular Storyline collection…so cool, right?!
Before I begin my pages, I like to trace out some lightly penciled lines to use to help keep my writing on track.
I don’t erase these lines, because I really like the way the look under my journaling…
Then I simply adhere my photo, add an embellishment or two, fill in the blank spaces, write my story and I’M DONE!
I mean…I feel kind of bad that there isn’t more to it than that…but really – that’s it!
5 minutes and done.
Sometimes I like to add my journaling to different shapes…just to change things up a bit…but it’s always important to me to hand-write a good portion of my stories.
Just having your handwriting documented is part of the big picture, right?
Remember…it doesn’t have to be complicated to be worthy of documenting.
Even the simplest of tales (or moments or memories) is important…and necessary..and integral to your story.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope I’ve inspired you to continue (or start!) telling your story…
