happy jig and hawthorne play together
It’s never hard to add a little happy to any page layout. Just by virtue of the fact that the images are your images. And the page is your creativity. Not to mention the vast array of scrapbook product out there that is fun and pretty and, well, just brings joy to your page. It’s just not difficult to make our pages happy.
Yet, there is always something new to add to a spread. Recently I have had the chance to play with the We R Memory Keepers Happy Jig. It’s a product that has been around for about a year. And it’s a whole lot of fun to create page embellishments using the tool and wire.
For this layout of a mini photo shoot of my daughter, I created the camera shape. Thought that appropriate. The gold wire comes with the Happy Jig Wire and Tool kit. Makes for a great starter kit. The kit includes a booklet with lots of shapes. And easy to read instructions.
After a little bit of practicing I was soon making some fun shapes. I think the camera may be my favorite so far. You just may be seeing more of that icon.
The gold wire added a great pop to this page. Using the Hawthorne Glue Pen, I added a few swipes on the edges with the glue and then rubbed Gold Reactive Foil over the glue. This also added pops of gold to the blue page. It’s subtle. But the camera and the foil play nicely together.
