His and Hers Storyline Layouts in Under 10 Minutes
If you are a mother of multiple children then you know the “mother guilt” that happens as a scrapbooker. After having the first child, so many pictures are taken and they have their first year album finished with no problem. Then, it seems harder the more children we have to keep up. Ha! However, I have found that each child having their own album or pages are like little love letters to each of them. They love looking at their pages and reading the notes I wrote “just to them.” My challenge to myself this month was to create a way to make it easier to scrapbook pages for multiple children – no matter their gender!
This is where Heidi Swapp’s Storyline collection comes in! In the last year, we have seen media team member Lindsay Bateman create an album with a new mom, a 1st year album, and a 3 year album. My children have their baby albums done and as they get older the time just goes faster and faster. Storyline has been helping me create pages for BOTH Ethan and Bethany at the same time.
Let me show you what I mean…
Our life events usually happen together as a family. If we go on vacation, we are together and I am already photographing both Ethan and Bethany doing their thing. For example, our trip to Neskowin Oregon the kids both played in the sand. The view was lovely and of course I took photos plenty of photos of the ocean. So, when I printed my photos it was very easy to build my page.
To keep photo printing simple, I always print 4×6 at my local printers.
To save time, I put both pages side by side and scrapbook both at the same time! It is like getting 2 done at the same time – and in UNDER 10 minutes!
For these layouts, I place 2 4×6 photos on top of each other. 1 beach view and 1 playing in the sand photo – EASY!
Then, I placed 2 Storyline Deck of Days stickers on each page. 1 at the top of the beach view and the other under the bottom of the page. The sticker on top creates a “title” for the page. I also added photo corners in opposite corners of page.
Then, I wrote our who, what, where, and when on the page. BOOM! Both pages done in 10 minutes.
Storyline makes documenting memories quick and easy so that I have time to create more memories with my family.
