holy cow… thanks!

holy cow… thanks!

thank you all SOOOOOO much for the warm congrats and encouragement in the comments and emails that i have recieved!! what a delight it was to open up the blog to that embarassignly huge response… so thank you with all my heart! you have no idea…
it’s midnight- sunday and i am sitting here eating an egg salad sandwich. the cravings are OUT OF HAND. during church all i could think about was lays original potato chips and ranch dip!!!

yesterday em, jodi and i visited a new store here in town called ‘devine memories’… it’s so cute.. looks like a great store. it’s got a great vibe! we decorated conversation hearts boxes… i say, never too early to celebrate valentines! tell people you love, how much you love them! there were lots of ladies that turned out to play! thanks for having us sandy and michelle! i came home and crashed… took like a 3 hour nap! (on a sat. afternoon… UNHEARD OF!) then went to bed last night at 9:30pm and didn’t get up until about 9am today! THEN… i took ANOTHER 3 hour nap today. ok… this is NOT normal.
(by the way… the egg sandwich is totally hitting the spot!) i don’t remember the cravings this intense or being this tired in previous pregnancies.. but that was over 5 years ago!

i haven’t been very creative in the last few days… but i did just pull out the QVC kit that Lisa B will be presenting on Wed. Jan 18th… have you all heard about this one??? if not… go to lisa’s site: lisabearnson.com and check it out! i am not sure how i got so lucky on this gig… i was selected to be one of the manuf. for this totally cool offer from QVC. lisa put together this idea that kindof reminds me of CKU-A…. in terms of totally completing an album-following an outline and having everything, including instructions to get you through the whole thing.

let me tell you one thing first off… about QVC. i now know FIRST HAND how unbelievalbly committed QVC is first to VALUE and close second, to QUALITY! you would not believe how HARD it is to get kits and products past their quality control program… let alone get a kit TO quality control because it is a good enough value to the customer. if you have never made it a point to watch the scrapbook events on QVC.. you SHOULD. the kits are amazing. you can’t go wrong.

ok, having said that… i’ll quick explain this TSV (TSV stands for ‘today’s special value- that alone ensures an even MORE tremendous opportunity). OK- it’s called “Lisa’s Favorite Albums”. there are 4 albums in the program. you get one every 3rd month. you pay for each one separately and they charge your credit card when it ships. basically, this is a year deal, so it’s not too overwhelming! the very first one is called “all about me”… and it’s a heidi swapp kit!!! the album is a beautiful fabric covered 8×8 that comes with it’s own box even. .. (in the end… all 4 albums go in a really cute keepsake box)
you get this HUGE ARRAY of products…and a very impressive well-designed instruction kit. i am completely delighted with the kit. i think they did an awesome job creating it!
sooo… that is my task, next couple days is to complete my book about ‘me’ and show you…
go to that lisabearnson.com and check it out… the website is beautifully done!
so check back! hopefully i will have something to show! creating this album is perfect for right now… it can be for my new baby… s/he will know exactly what i was like… what i was into… while i was pregnant!

seriously, thanks again for all the wonderful comments and all the congratulations! we could not be more thrilled… and admittedly a little scared! but ready or not… here we go! man, that sandwich sure tasted good!
…… good nite!

I had child #5 at 41 years old with one month to go to my 42nd birthday. (I’m now 43). My last pregnancy was also very different…it forced me to RELAX and REFLECT on everything. Enjoy this Season of your life…congrats!
QVC- it’s a good thing. They picked YOU, because…you ROCK! Loved your style at MM and love it even more in your own…HS. Thanks for all you do. You are inspiring to many folks…we heart you!

Heard about the QVC albums on 2peas and cked out Lisa’s site – I posted on my blog a few days ago that is was like a CKU-Album in your own house! Love your stuff and so happy it will be the first one we receive! Keep up with those naps!

First: Congrats! Second: Ultra strong cravings for me meant TWINS! I didn’t have strong cravings with my first pregnancy but when I was pregnant with twins the cravings were out of control! Perhaps you’ve got two little womb mates inside – wouldn’t that be fun!

    hi heidi!
oh my gosh–big CONGRATS to you and your family on the upcoming baby!! what great news– you all must be so excited, and i can’t wait to see new baby pages/products from you! 🙂 as you wrote about lays potato chips and ranch dip, i had to laugh out loud ‘cuz i’m preg. w/ my 2nd and crave ruffles chips and ranch dip–and i’m having a girl…hmmm…but i also crave an assortment of things, all very different from when i was preg w/ my son.
i’m also sooo looking forward to the qvc kit, but of all days, it airs on my due date!! the 18th!!! i joked w/ my husband that i’ll be tuned in to qvc while in labor and telling the doctor to hold off on delivering so i can order the album kit!! 🙂
again, congratulations and enjoy every single moment of this pregnancy. even w/ all that we go through during the 9 long months it’s all so worth it in the end! 🙂
    take care!

Yes, tired…all the time for the last two for me. Well in fairness I had my first two in my late teen’s/early 20’s and the last two in my 30’s. The “baby” will be 2 next Sunday and I am still tired! 🙂 Naps are a BEAUTIFUL thing!
Already have QVC listed on my calendar for that day! While I love QVC…I have been trying to “be good” on their Scrapbooking days but I MUST have LB’s kit – and from HS! One of my scrap organizing boxes is just labeled “Heidi Swapp” – I LOVE, LOVE your line!

I’ve been craving an egg salad sandwich for two days and there’s NO way I’m pregnant! Or at least I don’t think there is–it would be way harder for me at 43 than it will be for you–my baby’s 14! Congratulations to you and your family–I wish I would have had a few more when I was a little younger! I’m sure working on those early valentines had nothing to do with an abundance of PINK!
Have been looking everywhere to buy your big flowers and can’t find them. Are they out to the public yet? Do you know who would have them online?

Congratulations on the pregnancy Heidi, how wonderfu!! I have a five year gap between my two children, it was lovely to have a baby all to myself while the older one was at school and the children have a fantastic relationship now (DD14 and DS9).
I say “enjoy the delicious naps while you can”, or do you feel they take up time you could use to make the world pretty?
I just checked out the album, how fab-u-lous. I’m sulking now because we don’t get QVC in Oz – boo hoo!

COngrats first of all on your up and coming bundle of joy! I hope it is a girl. 2 and 2. I wanted to tell you i ordered 2 of your albums from QVC and completely finished both of them I even talked my friend into buying it. OMG! I love it so much. I would have never completed an album about me. This was truly inspirational and very proud of it. I took the second one and made it an album of my BF and I. She is a cancer survivor and i really love her and being her friend. The product was so much fun to play with. I now know how to use some of your product in a more inventive and creative way. Thanks Heidi. Can’t wait to meet you in April.
