How I Made an Intentional Journal Using Storyline Chapters
The release of Storyline Chapters, now available at JOANN, has completely changed the game for me when it comes to my documenting and story telling.
Not only am I completely over the top in love with all of the beautiful and outstanding products in this line, but I am motivated in a way like never before. For me, this system just “clicks” and it has re-energized the storyteller in me ten fold.
I adore having the ability to utilize each of the different personas to bring all of my passions together.
One of my passion projects for 2020 was to create an Intention Journal for myself. A place where I can consciously “set the stage” to becoming more mindful, present and connected, both with myself and with others in my life. I started the year doing a lot of reading in regards to intentions, and intention setting so I used one of the Journaler Storyline Chapters inserts to tell this part of my story.
I love that the Storyline Chapters Journaler inserts come in a pack of 3, with each journal a bit different than the other. In one package you get a blank, grid and dot journal. How awesome right?!
For my Intention Journal I chose the grid insert.
When telling my story I love to customize each of the notebooks a little bit more since they all come with blank covers.
Using my We R Memory Keepers Typecast I was able to add on a sentiment to a Storyline Chapters tag, along with additional stickers that are found in the Journaler Project Pad.
Incorporating quotes and motivational messages are a huge part of documenting for me as they really signify and are hugely symbolic of where I want to strive mentally in my life. These often “set the stage” for my future journaling and story telling. One of my favourite ways to do this in my journals are to use favourite alphabet stamp sets to write out the message. It is also a great way to decorate a blank inside cover and I love that this is the first thing I see whenever I open my journal.
Another way I love to tell my story in my journal is to use the We R Memory Keepers Typecast. I love the look and feel of type text. It is also a great way to incorporate a longer message, or an excerpt from something I have resonated with either from a current book I am reading or something I may have found online. That is the beauty of journals. They can truly hold anything and be anything you want them to. Ever evolving. Ever changing.
Journals are such a place of personal growth that incorporating my own hand writing is essential for me.
I love to tell my story through bullet points, lists and jot notes. Chunks of information, thoughts and feelings that help to guide, motivate and centre me.
I always find my understanding of concepts and ideas deepen when I take what I read and actually write it down on paper myself. Journaling is such a powerful process and tool for learning, healing and understanding.
I am completely in love with the Storyline Chapters system and I cannot wait to bring all the chapters of my life and world together using this remarkable memory keeping method.
