How To Add Foil Flakes To Seasonal Makes

How To Add Foil Flakes To Seasonal Makes

Are you familiar with the Gold Foil Flakes? Have you tried gold foil flakes die cut leaves? Would you like to know how?

Honestly, this time of year has me playing with all the fresh new seasonal icons. If you are in the NorHem it would be leaves and such. If you are in the SoHem, it would be flowers and floral embellishments. For this gold foiling idea, any die cut will work.

Here’s what you will need to play up this gold flake embellishment idea:

Heidi Swapp Gold Foil Flakes
Adhesive Sheets

Here’s how this works:

Cut a sheet of double sided adhesive to the size of the die you want to cut with

Take sheets of the Gold Foil Flakes (I used craft tweezers to make this easier) and cover the adhesive rubbing gently with finger to remove excessive.

Finally, cut the adhesive sheet with die of choice for a beautifully Gold Foil Flaked embellishment. The possibilities are endless how one can make their own embellishments with this technique.

Especially when these Foil Flakes, available at JoAnn Stores, are available not only in Gold, but also Silver and Rose Gold and Pink.

To make use of the Foil Flake die cut icons I then took the WRMK Pocket Punch Board to create some pockets. I sewed on the edges just to add in some interest. I crafted a little tag that slides perfectly into the pocket. On that tag I then hung the Foil Flake leaves. These pockets are now ready to add to a gift this fall, add to a page layout, or even simply adhere to a card front for an already made card element.

Take some time today to just play with these Foil Flakes, your dies and make pretty stuff.
