How to Add Inserts into a Travel Journal
I love a good travel journal, don’t you? I use them for everything – bullet journaling, list making, bible study notes, prayer journal, meal planning, and more! I was so excited that Heidi Swapp came out with this Iridescent Travel Journal with the Fresh Start collection. It is everything I have been wanting! A cute lightweight journal I can take with me on the go but with removable inserts that I can also store in my planner when I am not using them.
I have been working on my 2018ex pages in this album as well having fun with the Stencil and colored pencils.
I printed the February free printable and instead of placing it inside my planner binder, I just slid it inside the Travel Journal, letting the stripe binding peak out on the end that would normally go inside the planner rings. I love it!
You can find the free 2018ex printable right here.
I am also loving adding some of my journaling and stamping some watercolor designs to my pages. There are no right or wrong ways to decorate a blank page!
This journaling is just from listening to a song while drawing. Singing is one way I find peace and joy, so I thought this was a great creative exercise. I will be doing it often now that I have recognized how much it makes me feel afterwards.
Lastly, I wanted to share how I am switching out my inserts in this journal! The new Heidi Swapp Storybooks are in such fun patterns and come in a pack of 3 designs. With 3 of these packages to choose from, you can mix and match them all!
Each page has a place for a who, what, where at the bottom and a place for a date at top. They are made perfectly to add your memories to, however, with the blank pages you could make this journal whatever you wanted!
It is easy to add these books to your Heidi Swapp Travel Journal. All you need is 2 large rubber band and this quick how-to.
Just place each book back to back and wrap a rubberband around each attaching each book together. Then add it to your journal! It’s as easy as that!
Have fun mixing and matching these designs in your journal! I can’t wait to see what yours looks like! Make sure to post your journal photos to Instagram or Facebook and tag @heidiswapp and me at @createoften so we can see how you personalize yours!
These Travel Journals and Storybooks are still available in independent and online stores like Scrapbook.com.
